Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant marketing qualification/equivalent relevant work experience
  • Highly creative with experience in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, and can bring new ideas to the team
  • A passion for design and is creative
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • An interest in social media/blogging
  • Use all Microsoft packages competently
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to perform to deadlines

The role of the Marketing Assistant will sit within a small but busy and marketing team that form an integral part of the workings of the business. Ultimately the Marketing Assistant will have some experience of working in a similar role, have a creative interest and flair, and thrive in a busy environment. The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for aspects of communications both internally and externally, also some digital marketing.

 

The Marketing Assistant will report directly to the Communications Manager.

 

The duties of the Marketing Assistant will include:

 

  • Assist in the design and development of marketing material – brochures, catalogues and presentations
  • Assist with the creation of marketing campaign material
  • Support with the design and distribution of email marketing campaigns/broadcasts
  • Research content for communications and insight
  • Support with proof reading of marketing material
  • Assist with events, including set up, ordering of equipment and marketing material
  • Upload relevant content on the website
  • Support with social media account management (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest)
  • Monitor competitor and distributor activity and feed back
  • Provide general marketing support for the department
