Between 8am-5pm Monday – Thursday / Friday between 8am – 2.30pm (37 hours per week)
Salary: £10.40 Per Hour

Candidate Requirement:

  • Previous experience of working in an IT related support role.
  • Experience of managing workloads
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems including Windows 7, 10.
  • Experience supporting MS Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, Active Directory, thin clients, printers, IP phones.
  • Ability to quickly embrace and learn new technology and systems. A methodical approach with accuracy is essential.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written with the ability to build effective relationships with key areas of the business is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively unsupervised, ensuring tight time scales can be met under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good time management, reliable and conscientious attitude
  • Willingness and the ability to work overtime if required.
  • Full UK passport or cleared to work in the UK.
  • Clean Criminal Record.
  • Level 3 or above qualification which is relevant to IT Support (e.g. Infrastructure
  • Technician, ICT Systems Support, ICT Professional Competence etc…)


Job Description:

A well-established family owned manufacturing business have an opportunity for an IT Technician, to work in a busy office environment. The role of the IT Technician is to provide support for all staff throughout the business and to manage the flow of work through the department. You will be responsible for resolving support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. You will provide services over the phone, through e-mail and in person.


  • Provide technical support across the business for all IT issues raised through the helpdesk function via telephone, on-site and remote support.
  • Take ownership of IT issues and escalate as required.
  • Ensure accurate records are kept up to date through the helpdesk system and users are always informed.
  • Log calls with external service providers when required and manage these through to completion.
  • Configure and install new desktops, laptops, phones and printers.
  • Provide ongoing system maintenance for backups, antivirus, patches and updates.
  • Provide IT training as required by the business to individual users or groups.
  • Run reports as required by the business.
  • Assist in the installation and testing of new software, hardware and servers.
  • Deliver changes that have been approved through the change management system
