Candidate Requirements:

  • Good level of education – degree desirable in a relevant discipline
  • Relevant experience within a manufacturing production environment with planning experience
  • Understanding of manufacturing/production processes
  • SAP experience desirable
  • Capable of operating at a strategic, tactical and operational level
  • Ability to work under pressure to manage several complex projects simultaneously and deliver projects on time
  • Flexible approach to working outside of basic office hours in order to service the remit of the role

Job Description:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a global brand as a Factory Planner and Inventory Controller. The client supplies premium brands globally to the consumer market and is looking for an experienced Planner and Inventory Controller to join them on a 7 month fixed term contract. Our client offers 33 days holiday (pro rata), parking, brand new offices and discount on products.

 

Duties for the Factory Planner and Inventory Controller will include:

 

  • Create plans for the factory, considering capacity and material availability
  • Produce and maintain manufacturing KPI’s (daily, weekly and monthly)
  • Manage order-book including reviewing, re-dating and releasing orders for the distribution centre to the manufacturing plant
  • Lead weekly meetings with far east operations team and UK based Manager to feedback supply issues/opportunities
  • Manage all material stock accuracy for factory
  • Investigate stock issues
  • Identify problem areas to improve processes
  • Manage delayed booking and understand root cause
  • Manage and monitor WIP accuracy
  • Ensure factory receive shipments of required raw materials
