Candidate Requirements:

The Area Sales Developer will be bright, enthusiastic and ready for a challenge.

 

  • Previous sales experience and working to deadlines and targets
  • Strong sales negotiation, cross selling and closing skills
  • Confident telephone manner, excellent communicator and be able to liaise with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • Possess a full working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and have a high level of computer literacy
  • Meticulous attention to detail with ability to identify and prioritise strong sales leads

Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Developer to join a leading national manufacturer and supplier of niche and bespoke specialist products. As an Area Sales Developer you will be rewarded with 25 days holiday, free parking and free or discounted hot and cold beverages.

 

The Area Sales Developer will develop regional leads and call for updates on projects. Through contact and relationship development you will offer the best products, services and costs to meet customer budget and deadlines; always aiming to close the sale.

 

The Area Sales Developer will:

 

  • Work with public and private sectors to build relationships and win new and repeat business
  • Follow up quotations with prospective clients to mature sales leads and recognise opportunities to close the sale
  • Use business tools and resources to develop an understanding of projects and sales opportunities across regional areas
  • Update project notes using the CRM system
  • Providing technical and sales advice to customers by telephone
  • Negotiate to ensure the best deal for customer and company
  • Provide weekly reports on order activity
