Job Description:

Our professional client is seeking an Office Manager to join their established office in Wilmslow. This role will be playing an integral part of the team to oversee the running of the offices to maintain the standards and the smooth day to day running of operations ranging from organising events to facilities to welcoming new starters and ‘settling’ them into the business. It is a diverse role that is going to offer a range of duties to keep the role fresh and interesting.


This role will involve:


  • Overseeing the day to day running of the office, such as:
  • Setting up of onsite events involving the appropriate arrangement of furniture, organisation of appropriate operational support, organising refreshments and catering through the appropriate channels
  • Setting up meeting rooms; making light refreshments; ensuring that ongoing meetings are provided with top-up refreshments
  • Ensuring a tidy working environment
  • Maintaining appropriate levels of stock of consumables and stationery
  • Working with the IT, Marketing, HR, Finance, Compliance and Facilities Teams to ensure that the needs of the business are met on an ongoing basis
  • Dealing with incoming post (opening and distributing) and outgoing post
  • Assisting with ongoing document management including archiving, document retrieval and file closures
  • Welcoming new starters and ensuring that they are supported in the first weeks of their role
  • Liaising with the central Facilities Team to ensure that all business-wide services are carried out appropriately such as collection of confidential waste, archiving etc
  • Assistance with health and safety checks
  • Providing basic IT support (under the supervision of the IT team)
  • Supervising contractors and drafting email reports to the central Facilities Team
