A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a Technical Administrator to work for a local business that produces bespoke and innovative designs for their national customers. The role will be working within a technical department, supporting the CAD technicians, this role will be progressing information related to customer orders and liaising with production and purchasing.  This Technical Administrator position will suit someone who can work to strict deadlines with strong attention to detail, someone who is enthusiastic and has a desire to progress and learn.

Job Description:
This role will report to the Technical Manager and the main duties of the Technical Administrator will include:  

    • Creating daily, weekly, and monthly reports through Excel to support monitoring KPIs’
    • Analysing data – extracting information for reports
    • Liaising with the CAD team and printing the manufacturing paperwork
    • Consolidate and distribute paperwork for the different production departments
    • Once trained, offering CAD support – drawing using 2D CAD packages (AutoCAD)
    • Running programs to look at production errors and the breakdown of parts
    • Once trained, support Customers with projects; answer the phone, take messages, and respond to emails
    • Supporting with ad-hoc duties where required

Candidate Requirements:

  • Confident user of Excel – ability to create formulas and reports
  • Strong administration skills
  • Ideally have some technical knowledge to be able to understand drawings or be technically minded
  • Experience using AutoCAD is advantageous but not essential
  • Willingness to learn and develop CAD skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure to work to strict deadlines
  • Must be customer-focused
  • Have a positive attitude and be proactive

Hours:   Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Salary:   £20,000 – £24,000  Per Annum
