We have a fantastic chance for an Accounts & Office Manager for a successful legal firm in Stoke on Trent.

Our client is a highly successful service provider based in Stoke on Trent. They have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts & Office Manager to join their business.
 
Job Description:
 
Duties for the Accounts & Office Manager will include:

  • Day to day management of the purchase ledger and invoices
  • Raise purchase ledger supplier payment cheques
  • Hosting of client cash in a secure manner
  • On instruction from client, arrange payments to clients accounts
  • Arrange inter-account transfers of cash between business accounts
  • Build rapport and effective working relationships with Directors and Fee Earners 
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Fee Earners and Designated Director in order to review current status on Fee Earner activity and take the necessary action as agreed
  • Ensure the effective management of the firms cash flow, by raising client invoice(s) at the earliest opportunity (daily activity) with the aim thereafter of proactively managing the firms creditors and debtors 
  • Oversee the credit control process, by liaising closely with the Office Administration Assistant to ensure that the debt recovery process is been undertaken daily, as defined within the procedure and is having the desired positive effect
  • Undertake monthly bank reconciliation of clients and the company’s accounts
  • Preparation and filing of quarterly VAT returns
  • Ensuring that all accounting and tax obligations are met in a timely and professional manner and by doing so, ensuring that the company does not incur any financial penalties
  • Overseeing HR, Health and Safety IT and all communications for the company
  • Attend monthly management meetings
  • Assisting with compliance

For the ­­­­Accounts & Office Manager role, it would be good to see candidates with:

  • Experience in a similar role, where you have been responsible for accounts/finance and office management
  • Previous experience in an accounts role in the legal sector would be perfect but not essential
  • Excellent organisation skills

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
