Dougie Mac

Dougie Mac have been caring for the community since 1973. Providing all hospice services free of charge to over 3,500 local people with life-limiting illnesses each year in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages, also offering supportive care to their families and carers. 

They employ a talented array of staff to support and fundraise for the hospice. Alongside staff there are more than 1,000 volunteers whom kindly donate their time and services across the hospice including retail, finance, fundraising, gardening, catering and care services.

Approach Dementia Care

Since 1981, Approach Staffordshire is a charity which provides services to support the well-being of people living with dementia, their families and carers. 

In Staffordshire it is estimated that over 12,000 people are living with dementia.  Approach Staffordshire are on a mission to provide these people with quality services and advice, promoting positive wellbeing and tailored support for people affected by dementia.

As a charity they are reliant on the kindness and generosity of their community to help them by volunteering. Roles such as fundraising and administration alongside helping to running their community support and activity group sessions.
