“Recommendation to assist with Senior role”

Manufacturing company – seeking Production Director

Due to the pending retirement of a Director that had been with the business for a number of years the company recognised the need to find a new individual. The company advertised itself utilising local press and also specialist trade press magazines, which attracted candidates that were either in the wrong locations (a local candidate was very important as they needed specialist knowledge of the area) or candidates whose skill set was unsuitable.

Our client did conduct a few interviews but they also found after taking the time to meet with the candidates that their personality wouldn’t quite fit with the team. Personality was quite important, it was a key part of the role as the team is very stable and long-standing and they also have long-standing client relationships in place that needed to be nurtured. The recruitment process went on for around 4-5 months before the MD contacted Brampton Recruitment upon a recommendation from another company to request their expert advice.

A meeting took place in December where the Consultant spent time meeting with the internal team and discussing the requirement in order to get an understanding of what the client needed both skill and personality wise. CVs were sent within 1 week of the meeting taking place and interviews were conducted before an offer was made in January and the successful candidate started work in early February – the whole process was turned around within 2 months of the MD requesting support from Brampton Recruitment.

The client is delighted with how well we understood their needs, how quickly we turned such a specialist vacancy around, and how well the new Production Director is performing, he’s become an invaluable asset to the business.

The company has since utilised Brampton Recruitment to support them with a long-term Accounts Clerk post, they have found that using us saves lots of time spent sorting through applications from direct advertising and interviewing which therefore saves money in the long term as there is never a guarantee that you will find the right candidate from your own advertising, with ourselves you only pay if we find the right person.
