Sentinel Business Awards 2014
Well what can I say, what a glamorous event and it was a real honour to hear about the finalists who have enjoyed great success with their businesses, it was really uplifting and motivating to hear about the likes of Solidor, Moddershall Oaks, Holdcroft Heating and EffeTech to name a few of the winners!
We started with a Champagne reception and then Richard Bowyer, Editor in chief of The Sentinel opened the event and celebrated 25 years of the awards, and also 60 years Anniversary, this was marked by a special cupcake. The Sentinel was awarded the Freedom of the City and after Council Leader Mohammed Pervez talked about the achievements within the local area, Brigadier Gerhard Wheeler gave a captivating talk and then onto Dinner.
The event was supported by great entertainment such as The Highly Strung Quartet and also the Big Band Theory played whilst we dined. Joel Harper-Jackson entertained us whilst we had a break in the awards and the night was packed with celebrations for local business; the finalists and winners all worthy of awards.
We were challenged to take ‘selfies’ which we all rose to the challenge – see our contribution:
