2017, a Busy Year for Brampton Recruitment!

The New Year is just around the corner and we’re reflecting on what has been a fantastic 2017 for the Brampton Recruitment team! Following the launch of our new branding in 2016, our new look website went live at the beginning of the year, which included our new free job alert feature. This has been hugely successful, keeping candidates up to date with our latest vacancies.

This year we announced that C.R.Y (Cardiac Risk in the Young) would be our Charity of the Year. After meeting the family of local man Daniel Hughes, who died suddenly in March 2015 of an undiagnosed heart condition at the age of 28, the Brampton team voted unanimously to support this worthy charity. The Hughes’ family’s aim is to prevent more unnecessary deaths from heart conditions that have not been identified by providing vital heart screening for local young people.

As part of our fundraising efforts for C.R.Y. this year, the Brampton Recruitment team braved the Labyrinth Challenge (the world’s longest inflatable obstacle course!). We also helped out at various fundraising events throughout the year, including a charity cricket match, bag packing at Asda and a Football tournament. We’ve raised a total of £1,002.50 so far and if you would like to make a donation for this worthwhile cause please visit our fundraising page. We have announced that we will continue to support C.R.Y and the Hughes’ family in 2018 and we look forward to raising even more money in 2018!

The team has done lots of work within the local community in 2017. We sponsored and helped to plant a brand-new wildlife garden in Newcastle under Lyme, designed with butterfly and bee friendly plants to encourage them to thrive. We had a fantastic afternoon getting green-fingered with children from Giggles and Wiggles nursery and attended the garden’s official opening in July.

Brampton Recruitment is dedicated to investing in and developing our team to ensure we’re providing our clients and candidates with a wealth of expert knowledge. This year Karen received the results of her Level 2 Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing through REC and passed with flying colours!

Our team has expanded further this year too with the addition of Accounts and Finance Recruitment Consultant Jayne Clarence, who joined us in July and has settled in so quickly it feels as though she’s been here for years! Here are a few words from Jayne:

“I started at Brampton Recruitment in July 2017 as the Accounts & Finance Recruitment Specialist. From the moment I stepped through the door knew I was part of something special; it’s not just work, it’s a work family. The environment is great, I love a challenge and the job is very rewarding. Everyone has made me feel very welcome and I can’t believe that I have been here 5 months already. Bring on 2018!”

Jayne works on our Accounts and Finance roles along with Resourcer Karen Jones, and the future looks very bright with ambitious plans to grow the Accounts and Finance division in 2018.

We’ve also had an additional new Consultant, Ashley Baker, who joined us in December this year and has slotted into the team immediately! You can find our more about our fabulous team here –

We awarded our 6th consecutive Commercial Temp of the Year award and Accounts & Finance Temp of the Year award at the beginning of the year, which was presented to Eleanor Morton and Diane Day respectively. They both received shopping vouchers in recognition of all their hard work and the fantastic contribution they made whilst in their placements. We’re in the process of judging the nominations for Temp of The Year 2017 and will be announcing the winner soon, so look out for news at the start of 2018!

We continued our ‘Refer a Friend Scheme’ throughout 2017, which has been a huge success since its launch last year. We’ve had some very happy recipients of shopping vouchers following successful placements of their referred friend or family member! The scheme will continue into 2018, so if you know anyone looking for work, send them our way for the chance of receiving up to £50 in shopping vouchers.

Consultant Jo Glover was nominated in the Laughology National Happiness Awards 2017 Happiest Employee category for the second year in a row, and we were also up for the Happiest Workplace award too! We also received commendations in the Staffordshire Chamber Awards as well for Professional Services of the Year and Employer of the Year.

2017 has seen many more lovely testimonials and amazing feedback given by candidates that have utilised the support of our dedicated team of Consultants – Visit our webpage to see fantastic reviews of the service that we offer:

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the companies and candidates that have used our services in 2017. Your support is really appreciated, and we look forward to working with you in the coming year! Here’s to a prosperous 2018!
